Retirees Tour Hydro Plants - 5/27/09 |

A group of intrepid PGE retirees
and their families met at the Gresham Line Center early May 27, 2009 and
embarked on a daylong tour of Oak Grove, Three Lynx, Faraday and River
Mill hydro facilities, led by and organized by Chick Colby. The group
pictured above at River Mill got a glimpse of the inner workings of these
facilities, including the turbines, rotors, wicket gates, fish ladders and
operation rooms, along with a short history of each plant. Contributing to
the success of the day was the great weather that afforded many views of
the Clackamas River along the way...... |
